24 hours in Venice

As part of my European adventure, I decided to make a quick visit to Venice with my friend, Laura. Little did we know, we would only be in Venice for 24 hours. Surprisingly, there is quite a lot to do here from going on a relaxing gondola through the venetian canals to roaming through the little Italian alleyways. It has definitely been one of my favourite places I have visited so far.

This is what our 1 day itinerary of Venice looked like:
– Going to St Marks square and visiting St marks basilica
– Wandering through little alleyways to see candy stores and markets
– Looking over Venice from the Rialto bridge
– Sunset Gondola Ride
– Eating a 4 fromaggi pizza from a traditional Italian restaurant
– Visiting a few glass museums

We were so lucky to be able to come here when the weather was so nice. It was sunny the entire two days we were there and the temperature was perfect for winter. Every corner you turn, there is another little bridge with canals and gondolas rowing past. It was beautiful scenery.

From early morning to late at night, the streets of Venice were buzzing and there was always something going on. I loved the atmosphere of the place, definitely a great place to come visit if you are in Italy.

This place is magical and I will definitely be coming back one day. If you like old cobblestone streets with buzzing atmosphere, you would love Venice. I personally thought that 24 hours in this city was the perfect amount of time as there isn’t too much to do here but sit back, relax in the sun and enjoy the beautiful view whilst sipping on an aperol spritz.

Until next time,
Courtney xoxo
